Foreigners and Citizenship Law are two separate areas of law. Citizenship is a concept that expresses a person’s loyalty to the state, and citizenship makes the person the owner of certain rights and obligations related to the state to which they belong. Citizenship law, on the other hand, is the area of law that regulates the rules regarding the rights and obligations of individuals regarding citizenship. The field of citizenship law is primarily regulated by the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901.
Foreigners law, on the other hand, is an area of law that consists of the legislation that a state or country applies to foreign nationals who come to that country. Foreigners law is primarily regulated by the Law No. 6458 on Foreigners and International Protection.
